Actually, I didn’t find Obama all that serious prior to the election. I often puzzled at why he (and Biden, as well) so frequently grinned or outright laughed during debates. Here are/were my theories:
1. They simply cannot contain their arrogance.
2. They are so clueless that they actually think any number of issues or questions or hard topics are not worthy of respect and serious consideration.
3. They are immature and want to create some inside joke feeling.
4. They are drunk and/or on drugs.
5. It’s a subliminal way of making people feel good about very difficult matters.
6. They really have no idea what to think or say and it’s filler.
7. They think it makes them appear charming.
I’m open to other suggestions…
