Heck, my son graduated from the Univ of Alaska/Anchorage in about 1997 and he was subjected to much of the same stuff that is noted in this article! He was a SA (student advisor) and all 3 RA’s on campus were openly gay, bi-sexual or Lesbian. They told the SA’s on a 2 day retreat and then asked the Student Advisors to identify their sexuality!! I was livid..my son said, forget it I will just deal with it. When I said I would complain anyway he said..’who do you think hired these RAs? Of course the Univ. knows their sexual orientation.”
The gay women were called ‘the Family’ and had gatherings that they expected him to attend as an SA.
I was so discouraged. He on the other hand just came to detest the whole thing.
