One course of action is to go to their class and debate their ‘trainers’, pointing out the absurdity of their position. After they kick you out of school, sue for half of their endowment. Most 18 year olds don’t have the self-confidence to do this, but there are soldiers mustering out to go back to school who are a bit older, and who probably won’t stand for the BS.
