Baseball is not dead. I do not focus on the juicing and cheating by some players. It is being addressed.
I focus on the fact my 6th grade son suddenly gained interest in the game and is playing organized ball.
One of the joys of spring for me, growing up in the Detroit area was to hear the scripture spoken by Ernie Harwell at the opening of the first spring game. I found time so that I would be in my car, tuned into WJR to hear the hall of fame broadcaster open every season with this:
