I want to sympathize with Mr. Lucre, and on an individual level I do. However, I would like to point out that the same post-modern forces that have undermined western civil values in the survive of the gay rights crowd have come back to haunt us. Since 2001 the Muslim narrative of oppression has moved to the top of hierarchy of victims. If the post modern elites have a choice to make between gay-hating Muslims and gays then gays become expendable. Paul, welcome to the brave new world of the New Neo Nazis. The old Nazis hated sent Jews and gays (well only non party members anyway) to the gas chambers in the name of Aryan supremacy. The New Neo Nazis have no problem with doing it in the name of Muslim supremacy. I wonder if Paul Lucre was a champion of Western liberty before he found out that he is now a member of an expendable group.

We conservatives, especially those who lean toward libertarianism, were fine with tolerating homosexual practice when it was between to consenting adults, but were against validating homosexual lifestyles as equal to sexual normality. The gay community wanted more. They wanted to subvert and overthrow “hetro-normnativity.” That they nearly accomplished this goal is undisputed. The irony is that just when the gay movement is about to achieve its goal they are faced with a very real threat to their lives from aggressive Muslim radicals who seek control over the West.
