I think Paul Lucre is trying to make sense of what happened and has some good points, but needs to study Islam. He could start by reading New English Review (click on my name) or my articles here at PJM.
A very good resource is Jihad Watch. Especially look at the “Qu’ran Blog” pages, which annotate the Qu’ran from the point of view of somebody that knows the culture and speaks Arabic. Scary stuff.
