I had the great fortune of getting to personally meet Mr. and Mrs. Heston back in the early 1990′. In fact, I sat right next to them during a luncheon at the College of Santa Fe. The Hestons had paid a brief visit to the college’s Moving Image department. I can remember how suprised I was at how old and smaller in stature Mr. Heston had become. But you know, when he opened his mouth and began to speak, he became bigger than life once again. The Hestons were very open and cordial and everyone at the luncheon that day was touched by a rare encounter with diginty, love, humbleness, and warmth.
