I wouldn’t nominate her, and like in Clarence Thomas, there is the element of tokenism involved. Aside from that, while she may not be the best, she is bright and certainly qualified. She is hardly some leftist straw woman some cranks here are making her out to be. Since her nomination is all but certain, barring some hiden bodies, venting and fuming and whining about racism (just like those awful liberals do) is not going to derail her. This is even a bigger non starter than those clowns protesting at Notre Dame who deluded themselves into thinking they were making history.
