What Gerald fails to grasp is that (and let’s stretch our imaginations for a few seconds….)even if the average muslim does not agree with the practices of the so called “few” fundamentalists, very very few “moderate” muslims(except of a couple of notable and courageous exceptions) speak out against the heinous and inhumane acts carried out in the name of Islam.
The average Catholic will hav e no problem speaking out against the Church’s outdated views on, say, homosexuality, etc, etc. The Archbishops will not call out for him to be beheaded.
To simpleandhumble – Shame on You. How dare you try to justify even ONE violent passage in the Koran. Even if it is one out of ten million it’s one too much.
The fact of the matter is, even if the fundamentalists are in the minority (which I sincerely do not believe is the case), this minority has the capacity to cause untold horror.
