If you ever went on a mission trip to the remote areas of Mexico to help build a school or a clinic you would know where the majority of the Mexican immigrants come from. You would understand that a father/son is leaving his family, risking his life to come to the US. Once here he faces harsh descrimination and may land a job making pennies to the dollar for hard labor. He sends that money home to take care of his family. If he’s lucky he’ll get a ‘green’ card. Sometimes it’s the daughter who comes and she lands a job working for some future politician who doesn’t even pay her minimum wage.
Instead of fighting illegal immigration why don’t we as individuals find ways to make their homeland more profitable. NOT WITH TAX DOLLARS!
Sure there are criminals in the mix but ending our stupid war on drugs would keep the bulk of these guys in Mexico because there wouldn’t be any profit for them here in the USA.
