It seems clear that Obama doesn’t really mind or care whether or not Iran gets nuclear weapons. He’s already floating the idea of letting them have nuclear power, even though there’s just a small leap from having nuclear power to having nuclear weapons. Obama reminds me of a story Krushev once said during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He said there once was a poor farmer who did not have a barn and, during an especially cold winter, was forced to bring the farm animals into his house so they’d survive. The farmer didn’t like the smell, but in time he got used to it. Krushev said that the Americans wouldn’t like the idea of missiles in Cuba but, in time, would get used to it. I really think Obama believes the same thing about the Iranians. People (especially the Israelis) don’t like the idea of Iran having nuclear weapons, but, in time, they will get “used to it.” Problem is, will people still accept this idea once the Iranians actually start using these weapons?
