The European “political class”, however, has not been that much worried. Extremists are here. They are being taken care of by police and special services. However, the average European muslim’s practice is quite different from what is suggested by this video.
To give a comparison: You ask the pope, and he will tell you that condom use is not allowed, nor is sex before marriage. However, nobody claims catholics are spreading aids because they do not use condoms, or assumes that they do not have sex before marriage. Religion is hypocrisy.
To claim that the average euromuslim has something to do with fundamentalist extremists, just because he is a muslim, is just as outrageous as claiming that the average white American has something to do with the KKK, because he is a white American.
In the video itself there is nothing new. There are dangerous extremists around, and the Koran is a violent text. It is just the vicious implication, that this concerns the average law-abiding euromuslim, which is outright wrong.
So, can we concentrate on something more important? The whole middle-east/africa region is full of undemocratic regimes, including our friends the Saudis, Egyptians, Emiratis. And our enemies, the anti-islamic Syrians. In the meantime our own principles are slipping in our deals with China. Let us make a clip on that.
