Only kidding about the burger stuff. The thing about Chamberlain was he meant well, but he was so totally wrong. I don’t even think he deserves to be called a “liberal/progessive” as you put it. If anything he was a dupe. Hitler played him for a fool. And 73 million people died.
And I very much understand. My late mother was out on the streets of Bristol when the blitz hit. A stranger pulled her into an alley as a bomb hit and then disappeared. to this day I believe as she believed that she was saved by her guardian angel.
So, I did roll those dice with the first presidential candidate I felt truly comfortable with in voting for since I was old enough to vote. There is something about Obama that gives me great hope for the future of this country and this world. He’s not a messiah. He’s a man. I think we should all give him a chance.
