I am a muslim and I wondered how many verses in the Qur’an speak of this violence that you all seem to have misinterpreted and completely taken out of context. So I googled “how many violent verses in qur’an” and i found 2 fine sources from islam lovers such as your selves and they stated 109 verses @ http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/Quran/023-violence.htm and 164 verses @http://www.answering-islam.de/Main/Quran/Themes/jihad_passages.html.
Now take into account how many total verses are in the Qur’an, which is a few more than 6000. So if we divide 164/6000, that comes out to about 2.7% percent of the Qur’an that supposedly speaks of “inhumae jihad” on everybody. So if Islam really is a religion of war and jihad and killing, why is only 164 verses out of 6000 verses speak of violence. Please answer me this gentleman.
