For all of you sounding-off authoritatively about how dangerous pit bulls are, please cite your credentials for doing so. For example, you wrote your masters thesis on dog attacks or you know 10 friends who’ve been attacked. I am a professional dog trainer. I work with approx. 25 dogs per week, 10 of which are usually pits. I’ve found them to have more stable and intelligent temperments than other breeds. They’re also much more likely to play well with other dogs, as opposed to small breeds or cattle dogs which act agressively toward other canines. I bought into the pit bull hype before I actually interacted with them. The only people I’ve ever known to disliked pits were the ones who had had little or no contact with them, but loved reading the “always-fair-balanced-and-accurate” news.
