Erasmus, Since when does the Commander in Chief have to disclose EVERY decision in warfare with the PUBLIC? Did Japan know that we were going to drop fusion bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki? No, because Truman didn’t hold a press conference and announce to the world that “Because I think the people should know, we have been developing a nuclear weapons program and will attack Japan in 7 days.”
Military officials are TRAINED when and how to make these decisions. Just as you take your car to a mechanic because that is his field of EXPERTISE, we rely on the discretion and decisions of TRAINED officials to keep our nation safe.
