To Senator Obam, who has tried, unsuccessfully to explain Wright’s comments, I would ask: Since when does racism need to be put into a context?
The idea that “context” is needed to understand Reverend Wright’s comments is insulting to all Americans who have struggled to be color-blind and not discriminate on the basis of race. Now, it’s okay? And okay for a presidential candidate, no less?
Someone needs to explain to Obama that racism is unacceptable regardless of its source.
