For the record, I think that what Rev. Wright has espoused is evil. He has abused his power as spiritual leader and has insighted his congregation to hate.
That is a perversion of religion.
But I don’t believe that Barak Obama shares those beliefs. Maybe I’m naive, but I just don’t believe that.
And Believer, I think you are absolutely right that there are far better members of the black community who could be looked to for guidance than Rev. Wright. His feelings of hatred are not shared by all blacks — and though he would try to win people over to his way of thinking, there are a great many blacks who would spit in his eye for the things that he has said. He does not represent the whole.
