The root causes of African problems are obvious – it’s an explosive mixture of a backwards local culture and marxism. Each of the two is enough to sink a country, but when they are combined, any advance seems extremely unlikely for a very long time. Personally, I don’t see how a reasonable number of African countries can succeed in the next 100 years. And yes, I do believe some can escape the trap of poverty, but for most it is an impossible dream.
