Obama feels we must withdraw from Iraq to gain credibility with nations who opposed the war there. Then, when those nations see our genuine “goodwill”, they will miraculously agree to help us fight in Afghanistan.
In other words, Obama wants to appease our critics to get them to agree to help us.
Can’t you just see the Europeans lining up to volunteer forces after we’ve left Iraq? Neither can I.
