The source you provide is in no way citing the Da Vinci Code as authoritative.
It is actually arguing for the authoritative nature of the four canonical gospels and against putting any stock in the Gospel of Thomas.
So, that source that quotes the Gospel of Thomas is actually arguing against your position. Perhaps you read it too quickly too?
