Liberals hate it when ethnically gendered people 
don’t fit their stereotypes.
Rancor and screechings and shouts of Uncle Tom (or Auntie Tomasina) are dumped on people of coloUr who don’t fit into the accepted liberal mode of lockstep thinking, e.g., Clarence Thomas, Condi Rice, Miguel Estrada. “They” tried to get Tiger Woods to sign on to the agenda (it’s a requirement, you know, if there’s any melanin at all in your skin) and Tiger politely and wisely declined.
Attributed to (lawyer) Andrew McCarthy, the observation that Sotomayor’s prejudicial stance apparent in her wise Latina remark would disqualify her from sitting on a jury in a simple civil case, let alone holding a lifelong position on the country’s highest court.
Elsewhere, Sotomayor has questioned whether achieving impartiality “is possible in all, or even, in most, cases. And I wonder whether by ignoring our differences as women or men of color we do a disservice both to the law and society.”
If anyone’s still interested in original Constitutional principles, read some of the Federalist papers on the function and role of an independent judiciary.
Seems a slam dunk that Sotomayor’s views & values alone disqualify her for the Supreme Court.
