The first question to ask after the laughter is weither NK and Kim Jong are mentally and physically capable of starting a major confrontation. What do they have to lose? What do they have to gain? And if it is a psychotic adventure, when does he trigger?
On the larger theater, why is the US responsible for the Pacific Rim countries who should be capable of defending themselves? I suggest that Kim is “the little big man” who thinks that he can take on the world, including exporting WMD. He apparently does not have much longer to live with his health and maybe planning his legacy.
