Read it and weep. The unemployment rate for prime rioting age is about 22%. That means 1 out of 5 ‘youths’ ( to borrow, no steal, a French euphuism) is ready for a little burning, pillaging and looting. Total population for 15 to 19 is a little over 20 mill.
So lets figure about half those are that critical 17 to 19 age group or about 10 mill, 1 out of 5 means 2 million are available for looting and rapine.
There are about 850,000 cops in America, counting airport and museum guards, DEA agents as well as ATF and other unsavory members of the FOP.
While I have no doubt that the average American cop will have no problems dealing with 3 or 4 ‘youths’ apiece, those ‘youths’ will be hard to catch.
When you look at the unemployment rate for the 18 to 24 age group, it is almost as high. The real issue will be those college grads that end up swinging a shovel on one of the ‘shovel ready’ projects that doesn’t seem to be quite ready yet. 4 years of college and the only job available is swinging a shovel? How do you suppose they will vote in 2010? Especially when Mr Steele makes a point of the fact that they are in the position they are in because of their ’08 vote. The MSM and the Demonrats will play the ‘blame Bush’ card, but the fact is it won’t work. The out of power party is out of power. The voters cannot touch them now. The voters CAN touch the party in power. Hard enough to leave a mark.
“Official” unemployment rates are at 8.9% which is sort of odd, considering the total number of jobs lost climbs every month without effecting the percentage.
All these chickens will coming home to roost in the waning days of summer, 2010.
What gives me hope and keeps me entertained is the thought that once he’s out of the Oval office, all the Usurper’s work will vanish like morning dew under a blazing sun. His signature will not be valid, which means EVER piece of paper he signed while in the Oval Office will be null and void.

If the Republican party is msrt enough to not support RINO’s in 2010, then conservatives have a chance to give the Voters what the want, which is honest competent government. THE RNC has to pre-screen candidates for honer and integrity.
No more Republicans that use earmarks. Zero tolerance. If they post an earmark, toss them from the party.
If any candidate seems to want to hold office as a means of increasing their offshore bank account, make them do it as a democrat.
