Mr. Lewis:
“The liberal political class has to defend its story line at any cost. But today they can’t. Something has happened, and they are at each other’s throat.”

They built their entire edifice on a faulty foundation, and now they’re watching it all fall down around them.

You would have thought that Pelosi, being a San Franciscan, would know a bit about the perils of erecting structures on unstable soils, wouldn’t you?

For my part, I feel like I imagine a “White” Stalingrader would have felt during the siege:

I’m overjoyed when Commies shoot Nazis, and I’m likewise elated when Nazis shoot Commies, but I just wish they’d go do their thing elsewhere…far away from my parlor.

Drawing the Agency into a domestic political fight is an act of such monumental stupidity that it honestly boggles the mind.

The Agency is going to defend itself, and in doing so might discover that it gets a taste for playing in politics here,(to a more overt extent than it already may). This augurs very poorly for us all, no matter who wins.

For Obama and Pelosi to have used CIA as a political pinata introduces a very disquieting element into the equation, and the price for a political victory over these two gibbering half-wits may be something none of us wish to pay…to be governed by Langley.

You keep the Agency out of domestic politics by keeping domestic politics out of the Agency.

The penalty for Pelosi and Obama breaking this cardinal rule MUST come from within their own ranks of the Democratic Party.

One can hope that there are discreet communications being delivered to the adults over there that this is how this issue has to be addressed.

Watch closely and pay attention to how this goes down.

For my money, it’ll be a Democratic Blue Dog that “pulls the trigger”.
