Carl, you are just (understandably) biased to your perspective. But if you don’t realize that, then there is indeed a stalemate in the dialogue. “This is not an unusual fear” begs the question: “unusual to whom? Whites and Jesse Jackson? Come on now bro! 
If you can only understand one group’s prejudice, then eventually you’ve got to understand another’s. Or else, again, stalemate (which equals ‘No Growth’).
And just fyi, Wright’s comments were only parsed and made available to Millions, by the negative intentions of Faux News.
Yet, I must say still that, private or public racism are both ailments that need cure.
