It takes fewer letters and emails than one might think. A state legistlator recently told me that if they get six letters on an issue, it gets their attention. Six!
There is still a qualitiative difference between an email and a hard-copy letter. Blogging, it would seem, more than bridges the gap by giving an issue much higher visibility.
