107. Chuck Pelto . . . a multi-part adventure
CP: “Got a better link? That wasn’t Ann Coulter.”
No, it wasn’t. It was Liz Trotta, Fox News Analyst, wishing for the assassination of Barack Obama.
CP: “I’ve never heard or read Coulter saying something about putting rat poison in someone’s creme brulee.”
Coulter was speaking to a crowd at Philander Smith College, January 26, 2006. I know you weren’t there. And I know you weren’t aware of it. But it DID happen. Life’s funny that way.
CP: “Thanks for trying. But I never said there weren’t idiots on the Republican side of the aisle.”
That’s right, you didn’t say that. You said this: “I wonder if Dave could point out where Ann or Rush or Michelle have called for their political opponents to suffer a disastrous medical condition.”
And so I gave you two colorful examples of such . . . which backed you into a corner, leaving no choice but to say “Hey, look over there!” and then try to run out of the corner with . . . “If you laughed at Sykes you’re a malignant growth.”
Never again will I doubt your dialectic. Stunning, really.
