RE: When

When unemployment hits 15% and inflation hits 10, there will be some serious people really upset. The only way the Usurper stays in power is by declaring an emergency and canceling the mid-term elections. — typos_R_us

That’s an interesting point. Something I’ve been pondering as a possible scenario, albeit not with respect to economic melt-down. More along the lines that Obama and the Democrats ARE up against a deadline with the 2010 election.

If they do have a plan to overthrow the Constitution of the United States, at the rate things are going in the economy, they MUST have it in place BEFORE that election. Because THAT election, if run properly, will see the Democrats out of power in at least one house, if not both houses of Congress and Obama will become nearly toothless.

So what are the indicators to look for.

Glenn Reynolds wrote…..

Well, as a first approximation, you could read the Declaration of Independence. And look for efforts to shut down the political process.

Well….having graduated from high school BEFORE the vaunted American public education system went into the toilet, I’m familiar with the Declaration of Independence. Probably more so than the likes of sheesh and some others around here.

THAT is when 100 million Americans take up arms. — typos_R_us

On the other hand, your comment about canceling the 2010 election seems like a pretty strong indicator, if not an outright ‘trigger’.

The REAL problem is that a good number of those taking up arms will be doing so on behalf of President Obama. And, I suspect that if the recently passed infusion of vast amounts of money into AmeriCorps goes to bringing forth the “Civilian National Security Force” Obama talked about in the run-up to the election, they’ll be “as well funded as the US Military”.

We’ll have to watch for that, as it would be, what I consider to be, a key indicator.
