For a 27-year-old staunch conservative, you sure make some pretty blanket statements, Jeremy.

For instance: “Liberalism is an ideology of emotion and false hope: a deadly combination. Conservatism takes some thought and deductive reasoning: a deadly knell.”

Maybe in your 4th year of law school, they’ll teach you not to paint with such an overly broad brush.

Although I agree with this:
“The reason lies not with conservatism’s adherence to age-old principles of personal responsibility, traditional morality, and free-market capitalism. Rather, the conservative plight resides in two areas of the current political environment.”

There’s nothing wrong with “personal responsibility, traditional morality, or free-market capitalism,” and you would be surprised that many liberals believe in these things too.

But there is something wrong with “the current political environment,” you know, the one where graceless “conservatives” write fluff like this.
