the guy accused of politicizing the Civil Rights division of the US Justice Department, the guy lambasted by career civil servants and the (recess) appointment who withdrew his name for the FEC…is writing a satirical article on right wing extremism?

You do know that a left-wing extremism report exists, correct? Except it has a lower level of violence attached to it (except under “Animal Rights Activists” and is heavy on use of cyber attacks (nonviolent).
