Good job. I have read too many of the “there but for the grace of God” articles on that sanctimonious arrogant blowhard. His rough shod tactics and willingness to sully the name of those who opposed him gave more than a hint to his character; or lack thereof. What is really irritating is that the press seems eager now to point out how his past actions were a clue to character. Where was this analysis when he was running for governor? As they say, we get the government we deserve and New York deserved him. Perhaps it will serve as a wake up call and they will stop mindlessly pulling the lever for whatever Democrat or incumbent is running. Probably not. The state is run by the good old boys and they like Eliot are deeply in debt to the teachers unions, state employees and others on the state dole. It is a train wreck waiting to happen and Eliot was just a symptom of problem.
Couldn’t agree more on the “aggrieved” spouse issue also. She either is cut from the same cloth or willingly overlooked his foibles because it suited her own purposes. neither option is conducive to pity.
