I find it quite peculiar that Obama doesn’t do anything to distance himself from these kinds of problems until he actually gets burned with them, at which point he scrambles to tell anyone who will listen that he doesn’t have anything to do with them anymore. He doesn’t apologize or attempt to explain himself; he just hides behind the reasoning that, well, he isn’t associating with that person anymore, so it really isn’t important and never has been. It rather reminds me of a child caught with his hand in the proverbial cookie jar.
