Sorry Mr. Graham, but I believe you are incorrect on this issue.
Middle America (politically speaking) doesn’t care about politics (that’s why they can’t choose a side on an issue; they don’t know the issues). They base their opinions, and voting behavior, on what is trendy at the time (If I heard Bill Clinton was cute one more time, I would have puked).
Therefore, we have to make liberalism UN-TRENDY. This shouldn’t be hard from our perspective; we know all of the faults and contradictions of liberalism, and we can see them playing out before our very eyes.
The way you make something un-trendy is to bash it at every opportunity, to the point that those in the middle don’t want to be tainted by association with it.
