NPR news has its virtues. It’s a great format for one. Good for getting dressed and making coffee, making dinner. And yes, it is decidedly biased. About the same degree as Fox, I’d say, though with a different style as well as a different bias. What they need, more than simply airing conservative views, is a conservative on staff, someone capable of even noticing the one-sidedness of the reporting.
As for NPR beyond the news, can we all give a cheer for “Wait, Wait”? Roy Blount, Jr!
