Ummm, this was actually common knowledge, from the MSM. Saddam did arrest and prosecute those in Al Qaeda in his country, but he supported lots of terrorism. However hitting a little supply line obviously, did little to stop terrorism. Look at it now and the death’s of american’s before we went in.

Please research your article, surely you can find better reason than a minor supply line. “Wasn’t Saddam secularist?” just assumes that he would fight against someone who isn’t because, rather than supporting them because the goals match or the goals can further Saddam’s.

Interesting article, but the damage has been done, the article is way past due, and it puts more importance on Iraq’s role in terrorism, which, now that we are past “Victory!” we can see was even more minor than we had previously thought.

Yeah, the MSM isn’t going to replay a bunch of tripe that was (1) already played and (2) already determined to be pointless.

Yay Saddam’s gone, it’s great for the Iraqi’s if we can get it under control, as far as terrorism we seem to have bolstered them even without Saddam’s money. So… yeah..
