Meryl your problem is that you think that the Constitution should be applied as written. Ignorant people like you (people not educated by liberal elite private universities) cannot possibly read a document and understand what it means. We need progressives like Obama to tell us what it means. That is also why we need him to tell us what car to drive, what gas to put in the car, what light bulb to use, make our healthcare decisions, decide what moral education our children should receive, invest our money, what we can say and think, what we can listen to on the radio, and force us to unionize or explain to the friendly union organizer Guido why we are voting no.
You probably also believe that a good judge applies the law equally regardless of race, sex, religion, or sexual preference. Everyone knows that really great judges have empathy and dispense justice as they see fit and not as required by the U.S. Constitution or laws passed by the elected legislature.
Of course I am not serious, but progressives really believe this crap. Disclaimer, I am of Italian decent so please do not report me for a hate speech violation for the Guido crack.
