RE: Biblically Speaking

If you’re looking for an actual Biblical appeal, then of course there isn’t one. I could only appeal to you to apply the Golden Rule. — Chris L

Actually, there are a number of responses besides the proverbial ‘Golden Rule’. Most of which can be found in Proverbs and the Paulian epistles.

But let’s just deal with the one you suggest, the Golden Rule.

The ‘Golden Rule’ teaches “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

For all the world, I would wish that if I’m totally FUBAR, people would do whatever it took to instruct me in the error of my ways.

Therefore, I’m willing to do whatever it takes to instruct others who are behaving as total fools in the error or THEIR ways.

And may the force of wisdom win.

But with some people around here, e.g., Nick and The Shallow, it’s an uphill struggle against the stupidity that they’ve been inculcated with by the traitors to their trade in the vaunted American public education system.

Does that explain it for you?

RE: Bill Dalasio’s Responses

it is wrong and a violation fo principles to shout down a speaker who is civilly expressing ideas you disagree with. However, I can make a suggestion to conservative college stuedents. Shout down the protesters. — Bill Dalasio

Can’t disagree with that, as I was part of the counter-shouters at the local 15 April event at the county courthouse when some cretin showed up trooping through our peaceful gathering accusing US all of being “racists”.

And this guy, if I recognized him properly, was the local ‘director’ of some new organization called SomethingOrOther Democracia. How VERY odd…..
