No, there were no racist attacks against Obama. There were only sexist attacks waged by Obama against his opponents in both the primary & general elections.

The only former KKK member who served in the Federal Government during GWBush’s administration was Sen Byrd , DEMOCRAT from W.Va.
The KKK was founded by the Democratic party to attack “carpet-bagger” Republicans during Reconstruction. The Republican Party was the abolitionist party & the Democratic party was the pro-slavery, pro-Jim Crow, anti-civil rights party.
