This is bunk. I am in academia too, and there is such an excess of “diversity” cr*p that favors women that it is not soft, or any other kind of sexism that limits the number of women faculty. What are the reasons? I don’t know precisely, but using inequality of outcome arguments for what one perceives as an inequality of opportunity is juvenile at best, mindless at worst.
