Simple explanation: she comes from a different tribe. Her tribe includes the arts & humanities people of North America and Europe, and she takes her social cues from them. The intellect is only peripherally involved in this emotive, cultural wash.
This is the same mindset that leads Michelle Obama to not be proud of America until her set is exalted, and Barack Obama to look forward to a time when girls of their set can travel to Europe and be proud among their tribesmen there. Their loyalty is not to America, but to parts of America, and they are not ashamed of this.
