A very interesting perspective. Barbara Kellerman from Harvard’s Kennedy School has a slightly different perspective, though still based on brain function. She attributes the kind of behavior that gets powerful people into trouble time and time again to “a kind of craziness that sets in when leaders on one or another level of consciousness begin to imagine themselves impervious to risk.”
