I’m confused. What wonderful event do the Europeans think would have ensued if Israel had spared Saddam’s reactor?
I suppose he might have nuked Iran instead of just gassing it, which would have put a stop to the Islamic Republic, and perhaps expanded Baathist Sunni minority rule into Iran. But why is that a good thing (from the European view)?
Maybe he would have nuked Tel Aviv first, which would have started a nuclear war — not sure how that’s a good thing either (from peace-loving Europe’s point of view.)
Someone, please enlighten me.
