Once upon a time we had a “Red Scare,” where concerns about genuine Communist threats was turned into a witch hunt against anyone who remotely resembled a “communist,” such as civil rights activists and liberals.
Now we have a “Red State Scare,” where unsubstantiated concerns about a weak and ineffectual radical “right wing” has been expanded to throw suspicions on anyone who remotely objects to the ultra-liberal/left agenda, like pro-lifers and people who believe in limited government.
No Sir, I don’t think I’m going to “chill” on this issue. I think the DHS should chill.
