Tom Tancredo suggests that Obama isn’t concerned about a second term – that he is going all out to get his agenda implemented and tucked away in the first term, and damn the consequences to his chances for re-election – one of the considerations that kept Bill Clinton in check. If so, and if Obama’s ego would let him “take one for the cause”. then that would be the more frightening scenario. Reagan wryly joked about the indestructable nature of Federal programs after his own experience with the department of education.
We really are relying on the idea that Obama is an egomaniac (as he appears to be) and is not a calculating Alyinskyite (which he could be).
