I, too, don’t believe Obama is that enigmatic. Complexity of human motivations is the core of superb drama (see Shakespeare.) In reality, people are much easier to understand, especially those who seek power and privilege, and about whom we have enough information. Thanks to the internet, and to Obama’s own pronunciations and actions, we do have enough info about Obama.
The nexus Chicago politics/Rezko/ACORN/Wright/Ayers is enough for me to “know” Obama. There’s no question he thinks America has been “bad,” wants it to lose its super-power status by weakening it internally and udermining it internationally while garnering more charismatic/messianic and administrative power for himself and his establishment.
The rest is trivial, oportunistic calculation, following from the above.
