#94 venividivici “It’s a completely inapt comparison. The appropriate comparison would be to past rallies in support of lower taxes and spending at the Federal level, in which case the Tea Parties outdrew similar past events by orders of magnitude.

If I were to apply your logic to Obama, I’d say that because no one showed up to vote for him on Tuesday, but 69 million whatever showed up to vote for him on Election Day, he’d lost all of his support.

Less typing and more thinking before you type would be my recommendation for you.”

Inapt because you don’t like it. Those who voted for Obama and the Democratic agenda in November showed up in astonishing numbers. More often than not his crowds totaled over 100, 000 on one night! Moreover, Obama didn’t need corporate sponsorship nor did he have to bus people in to get people to attend. The appropriate comparison is to not compare one apple to another (which is what you are doing) but to compare the crowds who showed up in support of a particular agenda to each other (which is what I did). By that comparison I would say you people have your work cut out. The American people clearly are behind our new President and not the death rattles we hear from the cacophonous “teabagging” events. Your old GOP brain is showing signs of atrophy.
