I’m very aware that this is a democratic republic. When referring to the practice of voting and elections, what label would you prefer to use? “Democracy” is most commonly used to refer to the practice of voting, we both know it, but you just want to nitpick because you’ve got nothing better to say.

But here you go – this is not a pure democracy, it’s a republic. You’re correct, and you are a rare and special snowflake. Here’s your gold star.
