It might be theoretical—but it also helps Democrats win a lot of elections. Many people, especially younger Americans, are virtually ignorant of our history and values. They have been brainwashed by leftist educators. We are confronted with a daunting challenge and cannot take anything for granted. In 1972 the moderately popular Richard Nixon annihilated left-winger George McGovern. What would happen today? The only consolation is that Barack Obama hid his liberalism during the campaign. He tried to be all things to all people. Still, there was ample evidence to deem him unfit for the nation’s highest elected office.
