Jews were once hated for their religion, and this lasted for centuries. But most anti-Semitism is not about Judaism as faith: it is about the Big Group’s need, and ability, to have a Small Group to make itself feel superior to. Anti-Semites always – and I mean always – turn out to be anti-human. No anti-Semite has ever hated just Jews. The reason modern liberalism is anti-Semitic is because Jews are not anti-American, or, more specifically, the enemies of the Jews ARE anti-American and that is why liberals support them, or at least explain them away. They can’t support Saudis without hating Jews, so they hate Jews.
